# TG CA Sniper

The TG CA Sniper monitors Telegram groups for contract addresses and auto-buys them.

## Prerequisites

| Requirement         | Source                                          |
| ------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| `TELEGRAM_API_ID`   | [my.telegram.org](https://my.telegram.org/apps) |
| `TELEGRAM_API_HASH` | Same                                            |
| `TG_SESSION_STRING` | Run `python generate_session.py`                |

## Enable

Admin → **TG Sniper Dashboard**:

1. Toggle sniper ON
2. Set SOL amount per snipe
3. Add group chat IDs to monitor
4. Configure TP/SL and expiry for snipe positions
5. Set execution mode (Standard/Fast/Turbo)

## Runtime

`tg_scraper.py` runs as a Telethon client inside `main.py` background tasks.

### Flow

1. Message posted in monitored group
2. CA extracted via regex
3. User notified: "CA Detected"
4. `background_buy` executes purchase
5. Message updated: "TG Snipe filled" or failure reason
6. Token Trading UI link offered

## Safe mode

Admin can enable filters that block snipes on flagged tokens or during maintenance.

## Logging

Telethon internal logs are suppressed to WARNING. Sniper events log at INFO in `bot.log`.

## Troubleshooting

| Issue            | Fix                                                    |
| ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| No snipes firing | Verify `TG_SESSION_STRING` valid; bot account in group |
| Session expired  | Re-run `generate_session.py`                           |
| Buy fails | Check wallet SOL balance and slippage settings |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.hipersnipe.com/admin/tg-sniper.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
