# Copy trading

Copy trading mirrors buys from wallets you follow.

## Access

Main menu → **Copy Trading**

## Add target

1. Paste target wallet address (the wallet to watch)
2. Set SOL amount to copy per detected buy

## Dashboard

Lists all active targets with copy amount. Remove targets individually.

## How it works

`copytrade_listener.py` monitors configured wallets (via RPC/WebSocket). When a buy is detected:

1. Bot executes a buy of the same token for your wallet
2. Uses your configured copy amount (not proportional to target size)
3. Respects your slippage and execution settings

## Risks

* Target wallet may buy illiquid or malicious tokens
* Copy amount is fixed—does not scale with target position size
* Latency means you may enter at a worse price than the target

Enable Rug Protection and review tokens before enabling copy targets.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.hipersnipe.com/features/copy-trading.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
