# Staying safe

HiperSnipe gives you powerful tools. **You** are responsible for every trade.

## Golden rules

1. **Dedicated wallet** — only deposit what you can afford to lose completely.
2. **Verify on-chain** — check signatures on [Solscan](https://solscan.io).
3. **Never share your private key** — not in groups, not with "support", not with admins.
4. **Start small** — test with tiny amounts before sizing up.
5. **Meme coins are volatile** — rugs, honeypots, and 99% drawdowns happen daily.

## Use built-in protections

| Tool               | What it does                                     |
| ------------------ | ------------------------------------------------ |
| **Alpha Shield**   | Blocks risky mints (authorities, fees, RugCheck) |
| **Safe Mode**      | Extra filters on suspicious tokens               |
| **Trading Shield** | Auto TP/SL so you don't have to watch 24/7       |
| **Limit orders**   | Plan entries/exits without staring at charts     |

Enable Alpha Shield: **⚙️ Settings → Protections & MEV**.

## Scam awareness

* Fake bots copying HiperSnipe name — use **official links only**.
* "Send SOL to unlock" messages — **always scams**.
* DMs offering "guaranteed" calls — ignore.
* Never approve unknown token spends outside the bot flow you initiated.

## Withdraw carefully

When withdrawing SOL, confirm the destination address **character by character**. Wrong address = lost funds.
